Nancy's Kuwait Wars

There's talk that Nancy Ajram will in fact be performing a concert in Kuwait. That's no big deal I guess but if you take into consideration the fact that she's banned from doing so, then it gets interesting.Nancy Agram

Apparently, all public concerts require a license from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information which Nancy does not have. But she's going to go through with it anyway.
A spokesperson for the Ministry said that Kuwait is a state of laws and proper proceedings and that anyone who does not respect these laws will be prosecuted.

This isn't the first time Nancy has had trouble with the Gulf State.
She was also prevented by the government from performing a number of concerts during Eid al Fitr.

The Ministry of Information doesn't give a reason but it is said that the real reason is Nancy's sexy appearance.

Will Nancy go ahead with the concert and get thrown into a Kuwaiti prison with her short tight skirt?
Will she back down never to set foot again in the rich Gulf State loosing lots of money?
Will she still perform but on the condition of wearing a jilabia?

Tune in soon for another episode of "Nancy's Kuwait Wars"

The film was presented by Mohammad Al Mahlawi and was to star Hassan Yousif and Ahmad Izz. Mohammad revealed that he intends on presenting his idea to a number of Arabic satellite television channels in hope that one will agree to fund and screen the film.

Censorship refuses film about Hassan Nasrallah starring Nancy Ajram

Sources have revealed that Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram was nominated to star in a new film about the leader of Hizollah Hassan Nasrallah, but the Egyptian Censorship Committee refused it.

The idea of the film was presented by writer Mohammad Al Mahlawi and was to star Hassan Yousif and Ahmad Izz. The censorship justified its refusal to allow for the production of the film that it will create tension with Israel and increase hatred in Egyptian streets, which does not serveNancy Agram the national security of the country.

Mohammad revealed that he intends on presenting his idea to a number of Arabic satellite television channels in hope that one will agree to fund and screen the film.

The idea revolves around an attempt by Israel to kidnap Nasrallah through one of its Mosad generals in Lebanon, and who attempts an assignation.

Despite her recent announcement of cancelling all prescheduled concerts in Lebanon and the Arab world due the war that broke off between Lebanon and Israel, Ajram has given her approval to hold a grand performance in London and Paris.

The singer, who was among those that had refused to leave her country while Israel was bombarding Lebanon scheduled to hold a performance in London on August 12 and in Paris alongside UAE singer Hussein Al Jasmy on August 14, but there was a lack of transportation means, due to the destruction of all routes by Israel, the singer was unable to make it to London and Paris on time. Nancy Ajram robbed in Egypt

Egyptian police have arrested a Russian and a Georgian tourist after they robbed Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram in the city of Sharm El Sheikh, where she was staying last week.

Nancy had reported jewelry for an amount of 30 thousand US dollars, 5 thousand dollars in cash and two visa credit cards stolen from her room.

The crooks had apparently used the singer's credit cards, which was the clue that led the police to them. The crooks had charged large amounts of expensive jewelry to the credit cards.

The jewelry store owners identified the crooks to the police who captured them attempting to leave Sharm El Sheikh Airport and when the bags were searched all the reported stolen things were found in their luggage.

On a different note, and in response to circulating rumors that she publicly insulted Syrians and refusing to hold any concerts in Syria, which created uproar to break among citizens against her; Ajram held a press conference to clear her name and justify her position.

At the Sheraton Damascus hotel and amidst crowds of journalists, Nancy stressed that she is always attacked with rumors and never bothers to comment on them and simply works extra hard to present music of the highest standards, but this case is different because the rumors have accused her of insulting a dear Arab nation and its people, a matter she would never think of doing.

Nancy defied anyone who will come up to her and accuse her face to face of making insulting comments against Syrians, and hopes that people in Syria realize that some sick individuals are out trying to create problems and ruin her image.

The singer added that she heard of the rumor like everyone else, and could not understand where it came from, and that she had made her remarks on a television or radio interview and during the interview had gotten into a conflict with Syrian born singer George Wassouf.

Nancy wished that George would back her up and confirm that she never made such remarks. She added that this rumor was created to ruin her scheduled performance in Syria, but nothing can come between her and the people of a nation who she considers are so close to her heart.

Egyptian Parliament will not ban Haifa Wahbi and Nancy Ajram

Egyptian Parliament member Radi, from the Islamists party, has withdrawn his request that Egypt ban both Lebanese singers Haifa Wahbi and Nancy Ajram from holding any performances in Egypt.

Radi first submitted his request due to his party’s disapproval of the singers’ seductive attire, claiming it may provoke inappropriate thoughts and behavior.
Nancy Ajram and Haifa Wahby
The Islamist party changed its position after the patriotism both stars exhibited by refusing to perform or engage in any entertainment activities while their country is under attack by Israel. Radi stated that he considered the decision of Nancy and Haifa to be a noble one that reflects their true character, reported the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat.

Haifa welcomed the decision not to ban her and Nancy, and thanked Radi for showing consideration and understanding of the message she and her colleagues are trying to convey in support of Lebanon.

Recently Haifa appeared on the Egyptian satellite television channel Nile TV to host a special two hour program to raise emergency funds to help support Lebanese civilians injured by the Israeli raids.

Haifa asserts that Lebanese artists can play an important role, whether from within Lebanon or outside to help their country during this crisis. The singer fled from Lebanon through Syria a few days after Israel invaded.

Since the war began all music festivals, concerts and entertainment activities in Lebanon have been either cancelled or postponed. The first cancellations were the annual Ba’albak Festival and a play by Lebanese diva Fairouz called “Sah ElNoum”. The Baiblos Festival has also been postponed to an unknown date, and has refunded ticket sales.

Lebanese and other stars have notified festival administrations in Jordan and around the Arab world they will not be able to take part in this year’s events due to the situation in Lebanon.

Amal responded, “I do not understand how Nancy can determine when to love, as if the matter of love is something that can be controlled.”

On a different note, a photo of Nancy donning a Hijab (the Islamic Headdress) has been circulating on the internet, prompting rumors that the singer has denounced the Christian faith and become a Muslim. Rumors claim Nancy embraced Islam after she was affected by the war between Lebanon and Israel, and the suffering of Lebanese civilians.

Nancy denies that she has begun wearing a Hijab, claiming the picture of her on the internet wearing a Hijab is a fabrication, and has called on the people creating such rumors to stop.

Nancy recently recorded a new patriotic song “Lebnan Ya Habib El Umor” (Lebanon My Only Love) to express her grief over the horror her dear country is experiencing while Israeli forces are killing so many innocent civilians, destroying the core of Lebanon, according to the singer.

The song is being aired on several Lebanese radio stations at least once every half hour.

Nancy had the chance to flee Lebanon the night the air raids began, but chose to stay with her family and her people, canceling all scheduled events around the Arab world.
